You will experience mild discomfort, redness or swelling after the treatment is over. The doctor may prescribe medication to relieve the pain. A compression garment may be recommended by your doctor to reduce swelling and promote healing. Even though swelling can return around week one, compression garments should be worn through week four. You should be able back to work within a few days, although some swelling may persist for up to six weeks.
Lipo results can be temporary. This is something you need to remember. While some fat cells can be eliminated permanently, others may continue to grow. You have the power to take care of yourself and maintain a slimmer figure for your entire life. Drink lots of fluids and eat a healthy diet. Regular exercise is a great idea. After the procedure is complete, you can start walking again. It's possible to move into a low intensity workout program after a few weeks and build from there.
